Adjusting Your Macro Nutrients
Your macro nutrients (carbohydrates, protein, and fat) determine how your daily calories are distributed across your diet. Kanvie lets you customize these ratios so your nutrition aligns with your goals, lifestyle, or coaching plan.
The three macros always add up to 100% of your daily calories. Adjusting one automatically shifts the others.
How to Adjust Your Macro Nutrients
- Go to the Me 👤 tab in the bottom navigation bar of your Kanvie app
- Select Macro nutrients
- You can then adjust the three sliders:
- Carbs (%)
- Protein (%)
- Fat (%)
- The sum of all sliders always equals 100%
- Drag the sliders to set your desired percentages
- The app automatically recalculates grams per nutrient based on your daily calorie budget
- Tap Save ☑️
Calories per Gram of Macronutrients
Each macronutrient provides a specific amount of energy per gram. This is important for calculating your daily calorie and macro targets:

Example
Let's say what you ate in a day consisted of 50% Carbs, 25% Protein and 25% Fat.
If your daily calorie budget is 2,000 kcal:
- Carbs: 1,000 kcal → ~250 g
- Protein: 500 kcal → ~125 g
- Fat: 500 kcal → ~56 g
