Recipe Step Templates
Recipe Step Templates are a tool that helps you write recipe instructions that are clear, consistent, and fast to create. Instead of typing out everything manually, you can pick from a set of common cooking actions, like Bake, Cut, Mix, Fry, Grill, Marinate, Steam, and many more. Kanvie will pre-format the step for you.
They're designed to be useful whether you're making a family recipe, crafting content for an audience, or building a professional cooking guide.
Using Templates
- Start creating a recipe
- Tap Add template while viewing a step
- Select your template
- Fill in only the fields that matter for that action. Some examples:
- Bake → add time + temperature + oven setting
- Grill → add time + temperature
- Cut → choose how to cut (dice, slice, grate, etc.)
- Mix → add time + mixing style (whisk, knead, fold…)
- Marinate → add time
- Ferment / Pickle / Defrost → no details required
What Types of Templates Are Available?
Kanvie provides a wide range of common culinary techniques. Each option includes only the settings that make sense for that technique, including:
