Creating a Workout
Workouts on Kanvie are built from steps, each representing one exercise with optional details like an image or instructions. They also contain a title, description, and preview media (like a thumbnail image or video).
What a Workout Consists Of
A workout is made up of multiple steps, and each step includes:
- An exercise (required)
- A description (optional)
- An image (optional)
- Time-based duration (if the exercise is time-based instead of repetition-based)
- Sets & Repetitions (if the exercise is repetition-based instead of time-based)
- Weight selection (only for exercises that use weights, with your configured unit applied)
How to Start Creating a Workout
- Go to the 📤 New tab in the bottom navigation bar of your Kanvie app
- Tap Create Workout
- To start building your routine for each step:
- Select an exercise from the catalogue and specify:
- Number of sets
- Repetitions or duration
- Weight (if applicable)
- Configure the details for this step:
- Optional description for extra guidance
- Optional image for context
- Repeat for as many steps as you need
- Select an exercise from the catalogue and specify:
- Reorder steps by dragging them left or right
- Once done, tap Next in the top-right corner
Adding a Preview Image or Video
Before posting your workout, you can choose the preview media. This appears:
- On the workout itself
- On the workout's preview card
- In your profile
- In feeds and search results
Supported preview media types:
- A single image, or
- A single video
Posting Your Workout
Once you're satisfied:
- Add a title for your workout (required)
- Add a description for your workout (optional)
- Choose who can see your workout (public or private)
- Choose who may comment on your recipe (anyone or no one)
- Once done, tap Post in the top-right corner
