Your username is your unique identifier on Kanvie. It appears in URLs, mentions, and notifications, and helps other users find you.

General Rules

Your username:

• Must be between 2 - 20 characters long, all in lower-case
• Must be unique. No two profiles on Kanvie can have the same username
• Can include letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and underscores (_)
• May not include the word “Kanvie”, “Shekan”, “Cleverkan”, or “Kanchieve” to avoid impersonation of official Kanvie accounts
• Usernames are visible to everyone, so choose one you're comfortable sharing publicly
• Changing your username will impact old links to your profile that are shared on sources outside of Kanvie
• Make sure to follow the Kanvie Community Guidelines

How to Update Your Username

1. Go to the Me 👤 tab in the bottom navigation bar of your Kanvie app
2. Go to Settings ⚙️
3. Tap Account → Username
4. Enter your new desired username
5. Tap Save ☑️

What Happens After Changing Your Username?

• Mentions of your old username will not automatically update
• Your profile URL will update to reflect the new username
• Followers will still see your content, and your posts will remain unchanged
